The hand of the cloth

The hand of the cloth

Weight first

QAKI aims for a heavy hand. Tees around 240 GSM cotton. Heavier layers toward 400 GSM, with dropped shoulders and a relaxed block. Polos and vests use dense knit so the collar and shoulder keep their shape through a full day.

Weight is not a slogan. It is what you feel when you pick the piece up, and why it still looks like itself after washing.

One design, one colour

Each design ships in one colourway. That keeps the dye lot honest and the surface clean. A cream collar on a navy polo is a second knit choice, not a print trick. Graphics sit where the cloth can support them.

Stitching has to survive ordinary use: pulled on in a hurry, sat in, washed in a normal machine. If a seam fails early, the piece has failed ??? no matter how considered the colour was.

Care and fit

Cool wash, reshape while damp, and avoid a hard dryer when you can. If the first size is wrong, you have 14 days for a free size exchange while that size is in stock. Unworn weight sitting in a cupboard helps no one.
